While experiencing issues with their existing building and being spread across 2 offices, COWI noticed a larger space available nearby which was an obvious move.

A previous design brief was adapted to suit the client’s needs after a previous company involved, and new furniture was used in-line with other projects previously completed for COWI, producing savings all around.

Project Delivery

Works included stripping out existing flooring and partitioning, to install new partitions, kitchen, electrics, replacement lighting, HVAC adjustments, flooring and furniture across a 12-week programme.

Validation surveys highlighted that repairs were required on existing AC condensers, providing savings by raising this before the moved in. Loose lay vinyl tiles were laid directly to the subfloor screed, saving time and cost of installing the usual plywood base. Existing meeting rooms were also used to reduce strip out costs.

Floor channels were chased in the screed for the power to the pedestal boxes on a weekend, which reduced disruption to other tenants and keep the project on track.
