Project Brief
Domin, a rapidly growing technology business focussing on compact, high-performance hydraulic systems has recently leased a 4,511 sqft office at the stunning Bath stone, art deco façade of 33 Bristol.
With their focus being on creating a more sustainable future, the existing building shell incorporates an energy-efficient air conditioning system and 78 bicycle parking spaces, coupled with shower and changing facilities.
McFeggan Brown was contracted to complete the 4th floor CAT B refurbishment. This project included the construction of partitions, installation of new kitchen & breakout space, flooring and furniture throughout, and local electrical and data supplies. After 12 weeks on-site, the project was delivered to a high standard to reflect the modern and changing workplace.
This space now has a fantastic kitchen and breakout area offering staff a place to relax, eat, and socialise, including fully integrated appliances, boiling tap and even a glass fronted fridge providing refreshments to staff. A rooftop area opens out with bar-style seating & tables partnered with panoramic views over the city centre. In the main open-plan workspace, movement and flexibility has been encouraged through the use of multiple places to work and collaborate away from the desk, including poseur tables, booths and even tilting stools. As well as harnessing the office environment Domin have also utilised the space to include lab areas for their technical electronics works.
