Project Brief
MSA Safety is a global company which specialises in the manufacture of safety headwear, fire protective clothing, lifting and hoisting equipment and safety clothing. They supply the construction industry, fire services, oil and gas, air force and mining industries worldwide.
MSA Safety engaged McFeggan Brown’s services to redevelop the factory offices at their Bristol premises following their merger with other sites. Works included extending an existing office space to accommodate an increased number of employees, creating an inviting space for everyone to work in. In addition, new firewalls were constructed to separate the offices and warehouse along with two new staircases. Also included within the build was the installation of an additional tea point and toilet facilities along with new furniture to create a fresh meeting and reception area suitable for hosting regional managers, global directors and visiting clients.
The works were adjacent to a live factory environment and were phased to minimise downtime to the clients day to day operations and support MSA in their endeavour to keep people safe.
Key design features:
Wooden surround informal meeting area.
Large boardroom divided by a folding wall to seat 16, with overhead feature lighting, and flip top tables, allowing a flexible meeting and training space.
