Scale Space is a community focusing on unlocking the potential of UK innovation. A community where ambitious businesses can access the people, services, and space they need to accelerate growth.
Located on Imperial College London’s White City campus, in the heart of West London’s new innovation district, they offer over 200,00 sqft of tailor-made space for high-growth businesses.
Scale Space is more than just a workspace, so McFeggan Brown/KastnerLab was tasked to fit out the 2nd & 3rd floor, (15,351 sqft), space for laboratories that will attract new clients and startups to the campus.
Throughout the design and fit-out stage, Kastner advised Scale Space on this significant project and worked in full collaboration, building trust and confidence.
Works involved partitioning, a complete fit-out of the mechanical and electrical services, ventilation, laboratory benching, chemical extraction, fume cupboards, decorations, flooring, and kitchen/break-out space.
Avacta has now moved into the space on the third floor.
After eight months on-site, the area offers an effective and pleasant laboratory space for clients to focus on their work in Life Sciences.
